Summer is slowly rolling out, with Autumn making its way in! It's that time again when we're trading out the swimsuits with scarves and frozen drinks with hot cocoa. That blazing summer exposed our skin to so many elements that can leave us high and dehydrated; did we mention damaged?
It's time to rejuvenate our stressed, summer skin. To do so, we just have to tweak our skincare routine, making sure to incorporate some skin-enriching practices.
1.Refining Our Pores: After months of heat on top of the heat, our body needs a refresher course. Sweating naturally opens our pores to release toxins. Needless to say, our skin needs some TLC. Try fruity toner, mud masks, and some deep cleaning to help you shed summer skin.
2.Eliminate Rough Skin: The feet seem to be exposed more often in the summer. Flip-flops and sandals have our feet bare, exposing our skin to the dry summer heat and sun. Moisturizing buffer creams help exfoliate the rough patches minimizing them until they're smooth and refreshed.
3.Add Antioxidants: The UV rays from the sun can disrupt our cells, creating free radicals that wreak havoc on our entire system. Antioxidants repair the damaged cells, so we need to refortify our immune system and build up our defense.
4.Hydration is Essential: Our body is over 90% water. That being said, it should be no surprise that we need to take in enough water on a regular basis to stay hydrated. Our body uses a lot of water, and it needs to be replaced.
5.Vitamin D Intake: As the season's change, we tend to spend less time in the direct sun because we're a bit more covered up. As we add layers of clothes on, we need to ensure that we also increase how much vitamin D we consume in food or supplements.
Getting a seasonal deep clean treatment for every new season is an excellent way to detoxify your body. You can detox from within but be sure to consider the exterior as well! Keeing your skin healthy and happy allows it to be beautiful and strong.
Out with the old and in with the new. Our summer skin will fade just as the hot summer nights will. Shed, revitalize, and rejuvenate your skin to prepare it for the cooler seasons to come.
