Travel Tips To Keep Your Skin Healthy & Looking Good

Whether it's a road trip to make it to a family reunion or a flight across the planet, there are bound to be some stressful moments. Traveling can be stressful, even when you're enjoying yourself. Trying to look your best while you're tracking across the states can elevate stress for some.

We've got some good news for you: we've got some travel survival beauty tips we want to share with all of you. Let's say it'll make it easier to face your next adventure. You can look fabulous during your entire trip if you try some of these techniques.

Moisturize It

An intense application of moisturizer the night prior to your flights can help increase your skin's hydration. Cabin pressure in planes can expose you to some gnarly dehydrating effects, leaving you dry.

Skip The Foundation

Skip the foundation the day of your trip and stick with only a moisturizer. Before you arrive at your destination, add a tinted moisturizer for a fresh look. If, by chance, you won't skip the foundation, it's recommended that you use a primer or something that adds a layer of protection between your skin and makeup.

Facial Misting

If you want to refresh your makeup during your travels, avoid gobbing on blush and foundation. You can instead use a mister of mineral water and then ass a dab of moisturizer, and you're good to go!

Blot That Oily Skin

Road trips often lead to junk food, which leads to oily skin. To keep oily skin under control, bring along some blotting paper or rice paper and dab your "T" zone as often as you need to. You'll see that greasy look turn to a shine in a few seconds. The trick is that it doesn't strip away any essential moisture to keep you looking fresh.

No Long-Lasting Lipstick

It's definitely tempting, but in the long run, it will only dehydrate your lips and cause you to be dried. Instead, use several coats of a lip stain, allow it to dry, and top it off with clear gloss. Reapply the lip gloss throughout your trip, and your lips will look fantastic without a negative drawback.

Puffy Eyes

Puffy eyes are often inevitable during travel. Use some crushed ice in a washcloth and apply it underneath your eyes. It's a wake-up call that will make you look and feel refreshed.
